The Black Deck
In keeping with our line of special decks, here is The Black Deck. These unique colored back and reverse printed face decks are fast joining the ranks of the collectors market. There are four special cards included that will allow you to do the effects below plus ideas of your own.
The Blank Face Card: If the blank face card is on the face of the pack and you do a reverse fan, it appears that the deck is all blank face. Close the fan and move the blank card to the top of the deck, give a snap and double lift showing a card has been printed. Now fan the entire deck and reveal that all the faces have been printed.
The Joker: We are going to do something a bit different this time with the joker, we will use it to reveal a card in a trick we call tell the joker.
Arrange the deck in the Si Stebbins stack, where each card is three points higher than the one before, and the cards are in the following order Clubs, Hearts, Spades, Diamonds. Just remember the mnemonic word..CHaSeD.
The value of the cards are face value Ace= one to 10, then Jack is 11, Queen is 12 and King is 13. So starting from top down, the order would be: Ace – 4-7-10-13-3-6-9-12-2-5-8-11. In the CHASED order the cards would be as follows:
• Ace of Clubs • 4 of Hearts • 7 of Spades • 10 of Diamonds • King of Clubs • 3 of Hearts • 6 of Spades • 9 of Diamonds and so on…….
